We offer a verity of trail rides ranging from skill level to the length of the trail ride. All of our trails are permitted by the USFS and take us into the mountains surrounding the Telluride area, from Woods Lake to Wilson Mesa to Lizard Head Pass.
We open to our trial rides June through September
All our rides are for 15 years of age and older.

BE PREPARED
  • All riders should wear closed toed shoes and pants
  • Don't forget sun protection, sunglasses, and water
 
  • No backpacks, we will provide saddle bags to hold any snacks, water or extras you may want to bring
  • We will provide rain gear (slickers) in case the weather should turn while out on a ride
  • Don't forget your camera!
OUR TRAIL RIDES
All rides are by reservation, and cash and check only. 
Upon reservation of your ride, we will discuss the appropriate trail for your needs.
All guests will meet the wranglers and horses at the trailhead.
SPECIALTY RIDES - $200 PP
Ave. distance - (APPROXIMATELY 3-4 HRS)
Enjoy a trail ride with a mid ride rest with wine or a beer and a meat and cheese board. What better way to enjoy the mountains!
1 HOUR TRAIL RIDE - $80 PP
We offer 4 trail options for our 1 hour ride.
-Woods Lake Trail takes us through pine forests around Woods   lake with stunning  mountain views.  
-Deep Creek Trail or Whipple Mountain Trail leads us through  aspen and pine forests with amazing views of Wilson Peak as  well as the surrounding mountains of Telluride.
- Goodenough and Craig Point trail areas explore a different side of the Telluride area. Explore an area where few venture, up on a plateau where the natives called home. This breathtaking area has a stunning back drop of the San Juan Mountains as we travel through Pinion and Cedar trees.   
2 HOUR TRAIL RIDE - $100 PP
We offer 5 different trails for our 2 hour ride
-Woods Lake Trail is an extension of the 1 hour trail. This takes us through pine forests around Woods   lake with stunning  mountain views.  
-Lone Cone Trail starts at Woods Lake leading up into the  mountains surrounding the lake.
-Deep Creek Trail, again is an extension to the 1 hour trail ride. this trail leads us through  aspen and pine forests with amazing views of Wilson Peak as  well as the surrounding mountains of Telluride.
- Goodenough and Craig Point trail areas. This is an extension of the 1 hour trail ride. Explore an area where few venture, up on a plateau where the natives called home. This breathtaking area has a stunning back drop of the San Juan Mountains as we travel through Pinion and Cedar trees.  
HALF-DAY TRAIL RIDE (APPROXIMATELY 3-4 HRS) - $150 PP
We offer 4 different trails for our half-day ride
-Lone Cone Trail is an extension of the 2 hour trail ride leading  us deeper into the mountains to a high alpine lake.
-Wilson Meadow Trail starts up on Lizard Head Pass taking us  up to high alpine meadow with stunning views of Sunshine  Mountain and Lizard Head.
-Deep Creek Trail to Whipple Mountain Trail. This ride  combines both trails taking us through aspen and pine forests  with outstanding views of the mountains surrounding  Telluride.
-There is a variation of Deep Creek Trail that will lead deep  into the back of a high mountain basin. 
FULL-DAY TRAIL RIDE (APPROXIMATELY 4-5 HRS) - $250 PP
We offer 3 trails. PROFICIENT RIDERS ONLY
-Woods Lake Trail to Elk Creek Trail  takes us to the base of  Wilson Peak while going through aspen and pine forests and cross  mountain streams. A trail system that truly defines  mountain trail rides!
-This has a variation of Woods Lake Trail that will end at a  ridge between Wilson Peak and Dolores Peak over looking  Navajo lake and Lizard Head Pass.
-Lizard Head Trail is what the high country is all about! This  Breath-taking trail will lead you though open meadows and  pine forests, making your way to the base of Lizard head itself.
